STUDENT CONFERENCE (September 30 – October 3)
STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION
This poster session is for undergraduate and master degree students. The deadline for abstract submissions is Saturday, September 9th, 2017. This date will not be extended. Please follow the abstract template (download the template).
Acceptance to the poster competition will be announced by September 14th.
Make sure that your advisor/supervisor/co-authors sign off on your abstract before submission; all submitted abstracts will become public information, so it is your responsibility to make sure that there are no confidential issues.
As a part of the submission process, you will be asked to pick a topic area from a list of 7 available research areas:
- Knowledge, Education and Training
- Unit Operations and Separation Processes
- Chemical Reaction Engineering
- Process Systems Engineering
- Product Engineering and Advanced Materials
- Applied Biotechnology
- Environmental and Sustainable Chemical Engineering
If you have trouble deciding which topical area your poster fits in, consult with your advisor. If no topical area seems appropriate for your work, you may submit it to the “General” topic area as last resort. Posters could be moved to a different topic area by the session organizers if it is deemed appropriate based on the abstract of the work submitted.
Judging and Awards
Each poster will be judged by a panel of 3 or 4 professional members from academia and industry. You must be present at your poster from 13h until 15h on Saturday, September 30th to talk to judges in order to qualify for the Poster Competition. 500€ awards will be given to the top 7 posters.
You are responsible for printing the poster and bringing it to the conference. If you have never printed a poster, ask your advisor for assistance. Your poster must be a DIN A0: 841 mm wide by 1189 mm high.
